Comment Etiquette

I reserve the right to delete any comment I feel is inappropriate. If you want to make this comment, you can do it elsewhere. There are a few rules for commenting.

  • Be respectful. Be respectful of differences between people. Be respectful of differences in experiences. Give people a chance and do not make assumptions. Also be aware that the experiences of the characters, while intended to be realistic, are not intended to be universal or even common. Since I do not think that people will read or understand any long explanation of what is appropriate, I will instead link to depictions (and explanations) of this concept by Dan Shive of El Goonish Shive:
  • Use full sentences (or short [~3 or fewer word] exclamations). This is written speech, so actually take the time to write something if you want to. It does not need to be perfect and does not need to include sources, but you should try. If you are rushing to write something, it may not be appropriate. I do not strictly require that everyone uses English, but if I can't understand what is there, I will assume it is inappropriate.
  • Stay on topic. Comment sections are for comments about what is presented. If you think the comment is not appropriate for a specific post, but is for the story in general, try to find an appropriate non-story page to put it instead.
  • Censor swear words if you need to use them.

I will not prevent people from writing things just because I disagree with them.

Comments do belong to their writer, not to me.

My email is QuantumWarrior [at] gmail.

If you email me about this, add [re:qwltt] to the subject line. This will ensure it is filtered properly. If you do not and I do not know you, I will just delete your email.

The first two rules for comments above still apply for emails.

It also may take time for me to respond to you.
