Selected Webcomics I Used to Read
Mindmistress - This one has stopped updating, but she is an interesting hero.
Zebra Girl - I stopped reading due to issues with it loading, but it is still interesting. The author managed to subvert a gender issue in Christian mythology.

Examples of Picture Book Types
Soviet Superwoman - I have read only part of the archive for this. She does manage to have a Soviet hero as a typical superhero while maintaining her original loyalty and acknowledging the complications.
Angel Falls - This is the group SSW is from.
ErfWorld - I used to read this. It is merely included as an example of formatting.
Sister Claire Missing Moments - I never read this, nor do I intend to.

Books
Singularity (audio, book) - This is where I first heard the name Novikov self-consistency principle. It is a very good book.

TV
http://cinema.mosfilm.ru/ - I have been using some of the movies to help with figuring out the culture. (There are some with subtitles.)
StarMediaEN -  They have modern Russian movies, many with English subtitles.
